Beauty Movie Review Story Beauty Cinema Review: Alekhya, an intermediate student in Vizag, is the apple of her father Narayana’s (VK Naresh) eye, a cab driver. Her mother, Padma (Vasuki), is a homemaker. Narayana dotes on Alekhya, fulfilling her every wish. On her birthday, Alekhya asks her father for a scooter, but he insists she learn to drive first. With the help of Arjun, whom she meets, Alekhya learns to ride a scooter and soon falls in love with him. During a romantic video call with Arjun, her mother catches her and scolds her. Fearing her mother will tell her father, Alekhya runs away from home with Arjun to Hyderabad. Learning his daughter is in Hyderabad, Narayana follows her. Does Narayana reunite with his daughter? What happens to Arjun and Alekhya’s love story? What challenges do they face in Hyderabad, and how do the Hyderabad police assist Narayana in his search for his daughter? That forms the rest of the story (Beauty Review).

Analysis

Director Maruthi, as a producer, created some buzz around this film. However, Beauty feels very routine. The makers attempted to weave a message into the story by combining a teenage girl’s love story with crime elements, but the narrative lacks any novelty.

The first half covers Alekhya’s scooter fantasy, Narayana’s middle-class life, Alekhya falling in love with Arjun, and her running away with him. The second half revolves around the couple’s troubles with the police in Hyderabad and the police assisting Narayana. A twist in the pre-climax is engaging, but the climax feels ordinary. The romantic elements in the film seem excessive.

Romantic scenes between the hero and heroine at a TC’s house and a lodge, as well as romantic visuals in the climax, may discomfort family audiences. Alekhya’s character, who claims everything is acceptable only after marriage, seems contradictory as she gives a green signal to romance with Arjun at the TC’s house and lodge. Additionally, a minor obtaining a driving license is another highlighted flaw. The father-daughter emotional scenes fail to elevate, and the screenplay feels routine.

Cast

Ankith Koyya, as Arjun, performs well, attempting to showcase a different side of his acting in the climax. He impresses in romantic scenes. Nilakhi Patra, the main pillar of the film as Alekhya, delivers a strong performance, carrying the story forward. VK Naresh, as the father, performs well within his role’s scope, but the director fails to utilize him effectively. Vasuki does justice to her role as the mother. Nagendra in a negative role, Prasad as a junior artist, Nithin Prasanna as a police officer, and Muralidhar Goud as a police constable perform adequately within their roles. Nithin Prasanna gets a significant role in the second half. Vijay Bulganin’s music doesn’t quite work. Production values are average, and editing is decent. Director Vardhan could have narrated the story better, as most scenes are predictable, and the father-daughter emotion doesn’t resonate effectively.
