Raghav (Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas), a passionate guide, takes thrill-seekers and ghost enthusiasts on a “Ghost Walking Tour” to explore haunted houses in Kishkindhapuri. His team includes Maithili (Anupama Parameswaran) and Sumit (Sudarshan). On one such tour, a group of 11 people visits the infamous Suvarnamaya Radio Station, a reputedly haunted location. However, unexpected events unfold as it turns out that a real ghost inhabits the station. This malevolent spirit begins killing the group members one by one, claiming three lives. The gripping tale of how Raghav saves the remaining eight, the ghost’s chilling backstory, who killed Visramaputra (Master Sandy), and who confined the ghost are intriguing elements that unravel in the theaters (Kishkindhapuri Review).

it offers something different for Telugu audiences. The movie kicks off with a chilling horror scene set in 1989 before transitioning to the present day. The initial 20 minutes move at a slow pace, introducing the hero, heroine, and the unique “Ghost Walking Tour” concept, accompanied by a love song. However, the momentum picks up once the hero and his team visit the haunted Suvarnamaya Radio Station as part of the tour. From this point, the story gains speed, sparking curiosity. A series of deaths heightens the intrigue, leading to a gripping interval bang where the hero uncovers the ghost’s presence. The interval bang is a highlight. The second half unfolds with the ghost’s backstory, its attempts to kill the hero, and the hero’s efforts to defeat it. A couple of twists in this segment are well-executed. The pre-climax showcases stellar performances by Anupama Parameswaran and Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, but the climax feels somewhat routine.

For example, the ghost uses a radio as its medium but also manifests through a phone, making the act of burning radios seem pointless. If the ghost fears a specific type of light, why doesn’t the hero simply carry a torch with that light? During the third murder, no radio is present, yet the ghost appears, which feels inconsistent. Additionally, the hero states that the ghost possesses those who are scared, but it possesses him despite his lack of fear. There are a few other such inconsistencies. On the positive side, the connection between the opening scene and the pre-climax is well-executed. The villain’s characterization, with its surprising twists and horror-thriller elements, impresses the audience. The pre-climax setup is particularly strong.

Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, as Raghav, delivers a commendable performance, shining in his introduction scene, the sequence where he saves a girl, and the pre-climax moments. Anupama Parameswaran, as Maithili, performs adequately, but her acting in a hospital scene in the second half stands out. Master Sandy, portraying the villain Visramaputra, steals the show with his superb performance, becoming a major highlight of the second half. His appearance and acting as a differently-abled character surprise the audience. Sudarshan, as the hero’s friend Sumit, is satisfactory, though his role lacks significant impact. Hyper Aadi, in the role of Vihari, attempts to bring humor but has limited scope. Actors like Srikanth Iyengar, Bhadram, and Tanikella Bharani perform well within the confines of their roles.

Director Kaushik showcases strong writing skills, impressing with his Latest film. Despite some signs of inexperience, he scores well in his first attempt. However, he relies heavily on flashback episodes, and including a couple of comedy scenes could have enhanced the audience’s experience. Chetan Bharadwaj’s music is a significant asset, with distinct background scores that effectively spook the audience in several scenes. Sahu Garapati’s production values are impressive, and the editor ensures the film’s two-hour-and-five-minute runtime feels engaging without noticeable lags. The cinematography is also noteworthy.

Ultimately, *Kishkindhapuri* will pleasantly surprise and thrill fans of routine horror-thriller films, though it doesn’t fully satisfy in every aspect.
