The versatile Sivakarthikeyan has joined hands with director Sivakumar Murugesan for a new film produced by Kamal Haasan and R. Mahendran. Marking a significant reunion, Sivakarthikeyan has once again joined hands with Raaj Kamal Films International after the blockbuster success of the critically acclaimed and commercially successful Amaran. This renewed collaboration further strengthens the creative partnership that has crossed boundaries.
The film, which is being pitched as a grand rural commercial entertainer, has been titled “Seyan”. It is set to be the biggest family spectacle of 2026, combining deep-rooted emotions, mass appeal and wholesome entertainment for audiences across generations. The first look poster sees Sivakarthikeyan in a commanding, almost divine pose. Dressed in a shirt, dhoti, holy ash and prayer beads, he appears to be deeply rooted in tradition. The curved sword in his hand contrasts his calm posture, suggesting controlled violence – a man who simultaneously protects, punishes and commands fear. Behind him, the peacock feathers and the rich light of the surrounding peacocks evoke the symbol of Murugan, giving the character a mythological aura rather than that of a simple villager. The film indeed showcases Sivakarthikeyan in a powerful and dynamic new role.
Adding to the excitement, this project marks the first collaboration between Rajkamal Films International, Sivakarthikeyan and acclaimed composer Santhosh Narayanan.
