‘వాలా’ సినిమా ఫస్ట్పార్టు విజయం సాధించడంతో, రెండో పార్టుపై అంచనాలు ఏర్పడ్డాయి. ఈ అంచనాలకు ఏ మాత్రం తగ్గకుండ, మలయాళ బాక్సాఫీస్ వద్ద ‘వాలా 2’ సినిమాకు మంచి కలెక్షన్స్ వస్తున్నాయి. ‘వాలా’ సీక్వెల్ హైప్ బాగా ఉపయోగపడింది.
చిన్నప్పటి స్నేహం, కాలేజీ గొడవలు, ప్రేమకథ, డ్రగ్స్ ఎపిసోడ్తో తొలిభాగం సాగుతుంది. మధ్యతరగతి అబ్బాయిల జీవితాలు, వాళ్ల కష్టాలు, వారి భావోద్వేగాలతో సెకండాఫ్ సాగుతుంది. ఈ సినిమాలో కామెడీ బాగా వర్కౌటైంది. కానీ ఈ కామెడీని డామినేట్ చేసేలా, ఎమోషన్స్ కూడా వర్కౌట్ అయ్యాయి. ముఖ్యంగా చివరి అరగంట మంచి ఎమోషన్స్ కనిపిస్తాయి స్క్రీన్పై.
స్నేహాం, ప్రేమ, సిస్టర్ సెంటిమెంట్, రెస్సాన్సిబిలిటీ ఎమోషన్..ఇలా నలుగురు జీవితాల్లో నాలుగు డిఫరెంట్ ఎమోషన్స్తో క్లైమాక్స్ను దర్శకుడు తెరకెక్కించిన తీరు అభినందనీయం. ముఖ్యంగా బాధ్యతల బరువు అబ్బాయిల జీవితాలను ఏ విధంగా తారుమారు చేస్తాయనే విషయాన్ని దర్శకుడు డీల్ చేసిన విధానం బాగుంది. గెస్ట్ అప్సీయరెన్సెస్ బాగున్నాయి. కామెడీ పరంగా మాత్రం కొంతమందికి ‘వాలా 1’నే నచ్చొచ్చు. అయితే ‘వాలా 2’ కూడా ఆడియన్స్ను ఏమాత్రం నిరుత్సాహపరచదు. మిడిల్ క్లాస్ ఎమోషన్స్, స్టూడెంట్ లైఫ్…మెమోరీస్కు చాలామంది ఆడియన్స్ కనెక్ట్ అవుతారు. ఇది ఈ సినిమాకు మంచి ఫ్లస్ పాయింట్.కొన్ని సాగదీత సన్నివేశాలు ఉన్నాయి. స్టూడెంట్స్పై టీచర్స్, ముఖ్యంగా వారి తల్లిదండ్రులు ఎంత శ్రద్ధ, బాధ్యతగా ఉండాలో, ఇంట్రవెల్ తర్వాత వచ్చే సీన్స్లో బాగా చూపించారు.
