#Single Movie First Review: What’s the Story?
Vijay (Sri Vishnu) is 28 years old and still single. Despite trying to fall in love since his school days, he’s never succeeded. Frustrated by his own lack of success in love, he decides that those around him shouldn’t fall in love either. As part of this, he constantly interferes with his friend’s (Vennela Kishore) romantic endeavors and even tries to sabotage his wedding. During this time, two girls, Poorva (Kethika Sharma), who sells Audi cars at an automobile company, and Harini (Ivana), a dancer, enter Vijay’s life. At one point, both girls fall in love with Vijay. But who does Vijay ultimately marry? Or does he end up staying single, missing out on both? What does his friend (Vennela Kishore) do to help Vijay succeed in love? These elements form the crux of Single’s storyline, according to the buzz.
#Single Movie First Review: Social Media Dialogues
The dialogues for Single are penned by Nandu and Bhanu (who is currently directing Ravi Teja’s Mass Jathara), both of whom worked in the direction department for Samajavaragamana. This is a major plus point. Given their understanding of Sri Vishnu’s comedic timing and body language, they’ve had ample scope to craft dialogues that suit him perfectly. From what’s being circulated, the film makes great use of fun elements, especially memes and famous dialogues of star heroes. If these are well-integrated and contextually relevant, they’re sure to guarantee a fun experience for the audience. Additionally, Sri Vishnu has mentioned that the film’s interval and climax sequences are refreshingly new. If these sequences work out, Single could mark another hit in Sri Vishnu’s career. The majority of the film is packed with fun, though it also includes a sentimental angle. Director Karthik Raju highlights an emotional scene in the second half between Sri Vishnu and Rajendra Prasad as a key moment. The runtime is notably short at just 2 hours and 9 minutes, reducing the chances of the audience feeling bored.
With a reputed production house like Geetha Arts backing the film, the production values are expected to be top-notch. The trailers and teasers released so far have impressive visuals, and the music seems decent. Now, it remains to be seen how the final film turns out.
